Together with the Salon String Orchestra Dresden, we warmly welcome you - now traditionally on the third Sunday of January - to the new year. In the historic fireplace room, well-known and lesser-known "hits" from the 1930s to the 1950s will be heard. Many of these classics are actually film music - the films have often been forgotten, but the music seems to remain eternally young. Founded in 1996, the twelve musicians of the Dresden Orchestra amaze with danceable salon music in a classical string arrangement - complemented by piano, drums, and vocals. In addition to the Viennese waltz, they play foxtrot, slowfox, tango, and Latin American music.
