Central Saxon Philharmonic OrchestrWith the foundation of the Central Saxon Theatre in the season 1993/1994, the Central Saxon Philharmonic Orchestra was born as well. Emerged from musicians of the theatre orchestras in Freiberg and Döbeln as well as the Wismut Orchestra, the new orchestra already reached an astonishing efficiency during the first season. In the following years, the artistic progress continued and the musicians have meanwhile developed a repertoire stretching from the baroque to the present and enclosing as well the great composers of the 19th century up to Bruckner and Wagner.
