In its third edition, the successful exhibition series spans fairytale illustrations from over two centuries. The STERNTALER Days will feature a fairytale show programme with favourite fairytale characters.

The best-of season of the successful adventure exhibition "STERNTALER - immerse yourself and bring magical fairytales to life" starts on 28 March with lots of activities for the whole family at Schloss & Park Lichtenwalde. This marks the third round of the popular exhibition series, which has already attracted over 75,000 visitors. On display will be new 3D join-in pictures with the most beautiful fairy tales by the Brothers Grimm, Hans Christian Andersen, fairy tales from 1001 Nights and many other internationally known fairy tales, for example from the world of ice. With historical illustrations, 3D interactive images and new drawings that can be brought to life using augmented reality (AR), the exhibition spans over two centuries of fairytale illustrations.

Visitors become heroes or heroines themselves and literally immerse themselves in the magically projected fairytale and adventure worlds. Mrs Holle makes snow trickle down your face, Captain Jack takes you on a dive and Rapunzel's tower is climbed with ease. All this is made possible by the Planet Mystery App, which, once downloaded to the mobile phone, interacts with the illustrations to create effects that make you marvel, smile and dream. Reality is expanded, the real mixes with the virtual. In the hero gallery, visitors have to bring the pictures to life and in the insect world, self-drawn heroes scurry across the screen. Unique costumes can be tried on in the Virtual Dressing Room. Digital fairy tale play stations show the familiar stories from a different perspective.

Exhibition opening with a programme for the whole family

To mark the start of the new adventure exhibition on the long Easter weekend and beyond, various activities invite the whole family to join in. In the VR game"Hero of the Seas", visitors can immerse themselves in the fantastic underwater world using virtual reality goggles. An exciting quiz takes visitors through the entire castle during the Easter holidays and brings many a story to life. With the correct answer, puzzle fans will receive a small surprise at the ticket desk. In the gallery in the castle courtyard, things get creative with Easter crafts such as bookmarks, garlands and fairytale figures (Easter crafts take place from 28.3-01.04. and from 05-07.04.)
