Great Mining Parade Marienberg

The highlight of Marienberg's Christmas season for locals and thousands of visitors from near and far is the Great Miners' Parade. Every year on the third Sunday of Advent, approximately 350 people dressed in traditional costumes from Saxon miners' and mining brotherhoods, along with approximately 180 mining musicians, parade through the mining town, culminating in a concert in front of Marienberg's town hall.
