With a view of the entrance to the open-air museum, we turn left and follow the side road into the forest, which is marked in blue. Where the forest recedes, turn right, always following the blue markings, downhill along the Ahornbergweg. At the end of the path, cross Oberheidelberger Straße. You continue through a settlement and then along a narrow path through the fields until it joins the paved road. Now turn left until you reach the "Nußknackerbaude" hotel. Here, in the steep bend, leave the blue markings and turn right downhill on a narrow path along the fence. Before the first house, turn left into the old mining area of two pits - the Binge on the right and the Geyerin on the left. The latter has been converted into a natural stage. The Bingenhalde in between offers a unique view. After the descent, turn right down the road to the church. From the church, take the second street on the right down to the Toy Museum. From there, walk into town until you reach the main crossroads, where you turn left into Bahnhofstraße. At the top of the hill, turn right into Glashüttenweg. Walk past the newly constructed Glashüttendeich with its water wheel until you reach the Anton-Günther-Straße junction. Follow this road almost to the end. On the right, follow a small path until you reach Sportwelt Preussler. Follow the path further downhill until you reach the starting point (open-air museum).
