Wheelchair route "To the Amselsee in Rathen"

From the S-Bahn station spa town Rathen, go to the ferry (parking lot), with which we cross to the other side of the Elbe. Both the short steep climb from the ferry (about 10%) and an equally short steep section (about 12%) two hundred meters further at the junction to the Amselgrund are best managed with the support of companions. The path is then relatively flat through the town until shortly before the entrance/ticket office to the Rathen open-air stage, where rough sandstone pavement replaces concrete stones and asphalt pavement. Although partially milled, this is still quite difficult to traverse at times. From the promenade along the Amselsee, there are repeatedly beautiful views of distinctive climbing peaks in the Rathen rock landscape, such as "Locomotive", "Valley Watchman", "Monk". Return by the same route.
