Tower explorer in Silberberg

The little watchman boy »Albin« invites all families on a special exploration route into the seven-story Tower Museum. It is rumored that the tower was built from quark, eggs, and ox blood. Once the watchman kept watch day and night, and Albin, the watchman boy, was only allowed to leave the tower for the first time when school started. For today's little explorers, Albin has devised tricky questions. As a reward for the correct answers, there is the »Watchman Pass« and a small souvenir free of charge. Visitors can also ring bells and admire a constrictor snake.

Afterward, we hike into the Greifenbach valley (red/white) towards the ski jumps. The former mining area in the Greifenbach valley is characterized by heaps, pits, and walkable tunnel entrances. With sturdy shoes, we look inside the mine shafts (flashlight recommended). At the Greifenstein tunnel (snack bar), we take a well-deserved break. Inside the shaft, we can play train driver and imagine how the ores were extracted from the mountain. Our hike continues along a mining art canal to the Greifenbach reservoir. There, we pedal boat on the lake, and in warm weather, we dare to take a refreshing swim. At the end of our adventure route, we pan for stones or polish a mineral.
