According to legend, three Italian brothers discovered a rich silver deposit here. Consequently, the local mine was named after them. With its impressive view of the mountain town of Marienberg, the next stop on the Stoneman Miriquidi Road, the 688-metre-high Drei-Brüder-Höhe is a popular excursion destination today. Founded at the beginning of the 16th century due to rich silver discoveries, the influence of mining can still be felt everywhere in Marienberg today. Numerous visitor mines, such as the Pferdegöpel on the Rudolphschacht or the Gläserstolln, bear witness to its mining importance. From the town center, the route continues in the direction of Pobershau, past the Böttcherfabrik. The wooden goods factory now serves as a museum. The trail now crosses the 768-metre-high, wooded Goldkrone and leads along the German-Czech border along the Natzschung towards Olbernhau.
