From Fürstenau we start on the I-6/23 to Fojtovice in the Czech Republic. Here we keep right on the R23 uphill to Horní Krupka as far as the Komář í hůrka (Mosquito Tower) junction. The short ascent past the church to the viewpoint (1.0 km), where you can enjoy a fantastic panorama of the Bohemian Basin and the Eastern Ore Mountains, is definitely worthwhile. From Krupka, the oldest and longest cable car in the Czech Republic leads to the summit, and bicycles are also transported. We continue on the R23 along the mountainside and can make a stop at the newly created Sedmihůrská vyhlídka viewpoint. We have to climb again when the R23 turns right towards Cínovec. Southwest of the village, we cross the "bridge gate" and reach the border crossing on the plateau of the Ore Mountains ridge at the Georgenfeld moor. From a distance, we can see the rocky chain and the radio tower on the Lugstein (892 m) in Zinnwald on the German side and follow the I-6 downhill past the "Vereinigt Zwitterfeld" visitor mine to Geising with its historic old town. On the main road to the right, the I-6 leads us through beautiful countryside, opposite the hut pond we recommend the 1.3 km detour to the Kohlhaukuppe (786 m). The steep section to the summit is rewarded by the magnificent panoramic view from the tower over the Osterzgebirge. Continuing uphill on the I-6, we reach our destination in Fürstenau.
