Reinhardtsdorf-Schöna: Zum Wolfsberg

The starting point of the hike is the Reinhardtsdorf memorial bus stop. From here, the trail leads past the book box for a short distance on the Uckerleite (marked with a blue dot). After about 200 meters, turn off, cross the main road and reach the Grundweg.

From here, follow the Malerweg. After the last houses, the path climbs to the right up to the Neue Siedlung. Continue along the Forstamtsweg to the edge of the village, where you cross the Reinhardtsdorfer Bach stream. This small tributary of the Elbe used to feed several mills in the valley.

The terrain now opens up. The path runs past a small pond and leads to an old hut tree - relics of the forest pasture that was once common.

You soon reach the Wolfsberg with its traditional hotel. The 343-metre-high mountain has been a popular excursion destination since the 19th century. The first inns were built here around 1890 and the current building dates back to the 1920s. From the terrace, the view stretches far over the Schrammsteine and Affensteine to Bohemia.

The Salzleckenweg trail (marked with a red dot) continues from Wolfsberg to a refuge. The name is reminiscent of the time when herds of cattle grazed here and collected minerals at salt patches. At the refuge, turn left onto the Schlosserhübelweg and you can easily return to Reinhardtsdorf.

In the village, the route runs past the forest stadium, which was built in the 1950s, and follows Waldbadstraße to the bus stop, where the hike ends.
