Rabenberg Circular Hiking Trail

This circular hike lets you explore the Rabenberg plateau at just under 900 m altitude.

The starting point of the hike is the train station in Johanngeorgenstadt. From here we follow the Schwarzwasser river upstream towards “Pachthaus” and turn left over the “Pachthaus Bridge,” cross the tracks, and then turn right. We begin with the steepest section of the path to the highest point of the Pachthaus district. On the “Anton-Günter Hiking Trail,” we walk towards the forest, then leave it, turn left, and follow the circular hiking trail towards Rabenberg/Breitenbrunn. At the crossroads “Oberdorfer Flügel/Galgenflügel” we turn left again and follow the signs towards “Sportpark Rabenberg.” After about 1.5 km, we reach the sport park. The newly built forest rope park and high ropes course “Adventure Park 860” on the Rabenberg offers the right course for all age groups. You can enjoy climbing to your heart’s content.

 We leave the adventure park behind on the “New Path” and continue hiking to the “Old Rabenberg.” Here we turn left towards Johanngeorgenstadt, continuing to follow the signs. At the “Seifenbachweg” junction, we turn right, cross the Schwarzwasser river, and follow it upstream back to the starting point at the train station in Johanngeorgenstadt.
