Over the Erashöhe through the Paulsdorfer Heide

From Seifersdorf train station, the hike takes you past a lovely rest area and along Bergstrasse into the center of Seifersdorf. To the right of the path you will see a small memorial park/home park, the Prinzengässchen and the Seifersdorf church with its winged altar (left-winged, unique in Saxony) and Gothic wall frescoes (guided tours available by appointment: Klaus Böhme 0151 54871002). Once you reach the upper village, cross Borlaser Str. and continue along Bergstrasse, past the sports field towards Erashöhe (428 m).

On the Seifersdorfer Kirchweg to the right you reach the "Paulsdorfer Heide". At the exit of the Paulsdorfer Heide you almost reach the entrance to Paulshain, but turn left downhill past the ponds and the Schurig tree nursery. The Baumschulenweg takes you to Talsperrenstrasse. Walk along the reservoir to the dam wall and continue along "Neue Strasse", turning right into "Seifersdorfer Grund". Return to the starting point parallel to the river.
