From Silver to Uranium - Hike through the Mining Landscape of Frohnau

Follow the traces that mining has left over centuries in the Ore Mountains. The mining landscape of Frohnau is a vast spoil heap area where mining began already in the 15th century. Numerous mining relics still bear witness today to a great era that extends up to the uranium ore mining of SDAG Wismut in the 20th century.

The entrance to the Markus-Röhling-Stolln visitor mine or a visit to the oldest blacksmith museum in Germany, the Frohnauer Hammer, make the hike a special mining experience.
