Scenic hike through the mining landscape of Pöhlberg
You will climb high on our 832m high local mountain, situated in the midst of the UNESCO World Heritage Montanregion Erzgebirge/Krušnohoří.
On the eastern side of Pöhlberg, located in a rural cultivated area, there is a mining district documented since the 15th century. After the introduction of the Saiger process, silver could be extracted from the copper ore mined here at the Grüntal Saigerhütte.
