Isenburg Loop Bad Schlema – Wildbach Terrain Route 10

The starting point is the guest information Bad Schlema. Through the spa park, past the cascades, the path leads towards the "Karl-Tetzner Bridge", over it through the forest with an ascent to a breathtaking view of the entire Schlematal up to the mining town Schneeberg. The famous viewpoint here is called Biedenkopfblick, named after Saxony's former Prime Minister Kurt Biedenkopf and his wife, who greatly supported the revival of the spa town in the past. Leaving the viewpoint with beautiful impressions in mind, you go uphill and keep to the left. Now it’s time to "breathe in fresh forest air." The path leads with some climbs through the Silberbachtal, past the squirrel spring and the Silberbach pond. Idyllically situated, a short photo stop is worthwhile here. Then the path goes through clearings on the forest edge, at the next junction to the right and further through fields to the viewpoint towards Wildbach. A seating area invites you to linger. 

Afterwards, it goes downhill towards Wildbach village center to the church. The legend about the White Lady can be read at the parsonage and in front of the local history museum there is a wooden sculpture of her. From there, the path leads downhill towards Isenburg. It continues over steps and narrow paths to the radium spring in the Wildbach forest. The path then leads to the road, past the inn "Jägerklause." Now it goes uphill through the Poppenwald. A detour to WIKUSAWA (Wildbach Art and Legend Forest) is definitely worthwhile.

At the end of the forest path, there is a steep climb to the Hammerberghalde. This steep ascent is rewarded with a beautiful view. Below the golf course, the path runs towards the village center. Past the fire station depot towards the spa park back to the starting point of the guest information Bad Schlema.
