Start at the orientation board in the Oberholzhau parking lot (near Fischerbaude) in a northerly direction, along the Wald-Feld-Kante in the feeder trail; turn left into the forest at the top station of the ski lift as far as the refuge at the Ringel / Klötzerberg road junction (on the way a connection on the right to Rechenberg) south to the left, again along the Wald-Feld-Kante (on the way a connection to Cämmerswalde). Follow the Floßgrabenweg to Grenzweg; Grenzweg ascends to Hangweg and leave the trail to the left to Fischerbaude.
