Hiking route 3 - to Marieney and Eschenbach

We start our route at the Obermarkt in Schöneck and leave the town via Schilbacher Straße towards the eponymous village. At the small forest, we leave the street and follow the yellow hiking trail marking to the left. In Schilbach, we pass through the Schilbach manor with its impressive castle garden. Following the path past the "large pond," we reach the small village of Marieney, birthplace of the local poet Julius Mosen. Next, we arrive at Eschenbach. We leave the small village on the beautiful hiking trail, lined with blackberry bushes and rowan trees, which leads us to the Pferdekopf stone cross. Afterwards, we make our way back over "Bockmühle" and "Galgenberg" up to Schöneck to our starting point at the Obermarkt. The castle playground, the Aussichtsfelsen "Alter Söll," or the beer garden at the inn "Zur Brauschänke" now invite you to a leisurely conclusion.
