On the Erzgebirgskamm ridge, the route leads to the Georgenfelder Hochmoor.
This varied bike tour leads through the impressive nature around Altenberg and combines sporty riding fun with unique landscape experiences. The highlight of the route is the Georgenfelder Hochmoor with its vast moorland areas and rare plants. Forest paths, beautiful views and cozy refreshment stops await along the way - perfect for connoisseurs on two wheels.

The tour starts at Altenberg station and leads through the spa gardens past the Altenberg adventure mountain (Querweg) via the Raupennstweg to the "Altes Raupennest" forest tavern. From here, head towards Sonnenhof and then turn right. You reach the Evasteig trail, which you follow to the hiking and cross-country ski trail parking lot. Keep right and after approx. 500 meters turn onto the K-wing. This leads directly to the Biathlon Sparkassen-Arena Altenberg. Via trail 28 you reach the Georgenfelder Hochmoor, which is located on the right-hand side of the trail. After visiting the moor, continue downhill along the Hochmoorweg. Cross the B170 and continue straight ahead on the Goldhahnweg. Stay on the path above the Aschergraben. Back in Altenberg, cross the B170 and cycle back to the starting point via Bergstraße and Querweg.
