At the beginning, follow the paved path past Naturbad uphill through the forest until you reach a crossroads. Here, turn right onto the wide forest path marked as Thalheim Circular Route. At the crossroads by the Lohhütte, keep to the right and follow the path straight ahead through the forest and over meadows. Ahead of you, the view opens to the lower district of Gornsdorf and Meinersdorf. You leave the Thalheim Circular Route, stay on the field path and go downhill towards Meinersdorf until you reach a paved street. Follow this to the right, past a small garden allotment and the cemetery. Behind the cemetery at the hairpin bend, follow the left upper path and reach Sonnenstraße. You pass meadows and fields and then continue via Gartenstraße to the main street. Follow it to the left, and after about 100 m, turn right to Graubner Gut. You cross the estate grounds. The path leads uphill again, and at the next crossroads with a large maple and a seating area, go right over the meadows. Follow the path past the ski slope to the Goethehain turnoff. This idyllic rest area is located on the left above the path in the middle of the forest and invites a short detour. The path leads right at the “Glückauf” shelter back down into the valley. As soon as you reach the paved street, follow it and turn left onto August-Uhlmann-Straße. After a few meters, turn right to stay on August-Uhlmann-Straße. Turn right onto Auerbacher Straße and shortly after left onto Bergstraße, once more left and then sharply right onto Am Andreasberg. At the Gornsdorf community center, turn right towards Hormersdorfer Straße, cross it diagonally left holding and then follow Badstraße uphill on the right to the starting point.
