This scenic tour leads from Hinterhermsdorf via the Weifberg, Wachberg and Alfred-Meiche-Weg to Sebnitz.
The tour leads from Hinterhermsdorf in Saxon Switzerland via Weifberg and Wachberg, both of which offer impressive views. It then follows the scenic Alfred-Meiche-Weg to Sebnitz, which invites you to linger and explore.The tour can also be hiked in the opposite direction from Sebnitz to Hinterhermsdorf!
Stop Hinterhermsdorf Erbgericht

The tour starts at the Erbgericht bus stop in Hinterhermsdorf and from there follows the blue line towards Wachberg on the Weifberg. Below the Weifberg, turn right and follow the yellow dot "Panoramaweg" for a short distance to the Kaiserbergblick before continuing up the Weifberg to the Weifberg tower.
From Weifberg, follow the red line to the "border crossing for tourists" before returning to the blue line, the "Dr.-Alfred-Meiche-Weg", which you then follow first to Wachberg and then from Wachberg to the market in Sebnitz and finally to the train station.
In between, you pass the Saupsdorfblick and the Buchberg at the entrance to Sebnitz. You also have an interesting view over Sebnitz from the Bergstaße.
Sturdy shoes and food are generally recommended, as some of the paths are unpaved and the refreshment stops are not always open.
Otherwise, we recommend stopping for refreshments on the Wachberg above Saupsdorf and in the Waldhaus just before Sebnitz.
Binoculars are always useful on tours like this so that you can enjoy and experience the views even more.
You can drive to Bad Schandau train station and park there.
To get there, we recommend taking bus line 241 from the Bad Schandau National Park railway station to Hinterhermsdorf, which can also be easily reached by S-Bahn from Dresden.
