This hiking route leads history enthusiasts along the tracks of the Vögte, starting at Mylau Castle and passing through a beautiful landscape past the Göltzschtal Bridge over the church in Irchwitz to Greiz - the residential city of the former Principality of Reuß.
The cultural route begins at Mylau Castle, which features a noteworthy exhibition on state and regional history. Walk downhill through the castle grounds to the town church and take the Vogtland Panorama Route to the Göltzschtal Bridge. Leave the VPR uphill towards Irchwitz and enjoy the view down into the Göltzschtal. After a few kilometers, you reach the former residential city Greiz with its Lower and Upper Castle.
