Starting point in Großolbersdorf: Car park at the town hall, hiking board in front of the town hall, walk left uphill through the village to GH “Zur Silberstraße”, turn left towards Scharfenstein, after the sports ground turn right and follow the paved road (red marking) for 1.5 km uphill to the fork at the lime tree with bench and signpost (wonderful views of the Ore Mountain ridge), turn left and drive 1.5 km towards Hohndorf to the junction with Schulweg, turn left downhill to Beyer bakery, then turn left to drive along Dorfstraße to the B 174 at the entrance to the village, cross it (beware of heavy traffic), then go uphill on Waldstraße to the forest edge, turn right onto a paved road and continue to the junction with Siedlungsstraße, turn left to Alte Marienberger Straße, cross it and follow the bike path to Krumhermersdorf (unique view of the Zschopau valley and Augustusburg), after 2 km cross the main road in Krumhermersdorf and go 2 km towards Bornwaldstraße, Feldgüter, street houses, cross the street at “Bornwald tavern”, drive towards Bornwald (yellow marked), after 500 m turn left at the shelter (green marked) to the junction with the asphalt road towards the reservoir, turn right downhill for 2 km to the fork, cross the bridge towards the Upper reservoir and continue for about 2 km on the asphalt road, detour to the reservoir (rest area), cross over the dam and back to the asphalt road, from there along the reservoir (green marked) to the fork “Halfterhäuser”, turn right for about 2 km to the Halfterhäuser, cross B 174 (beware of heavy traffic) towards Großolbersdorf, continue for 2 km following the yellow-green marking, turn into Heinzebankstraße, pass the cemetery (visit the grave of Karl Stülpner), Schulstraße (visit the village museum opposite the cemetery) to Rathausplatz (past the church). Starting point reached.
