Around Schlettau

You hike from Schlettau Castle along the Zschopau Valley hiking trail towards Walthersdorf. There you leave the hiking trail and walk through the forest towards Scheibenberg. After reaching the lower circular trail of the mountain, turn left on the basalt educational trail to the ascent on the Ottomar-Zahm-Steig to the summit. Here you have the opportunity to enjoy beautiful views of the Erzgebirge. On the descent, you pass by the rampart facilities and basalt columns ("Organ Pipes"). After crossing the main road B101, you reach Schlettau through the city forest. There you can view the "church face" at the church and visit the castle.
