The continuously uniformly signposted cycling route "Annaberger Landring" is 44 km long, located between the two well-known mountain towns Annaberg-Buchholz and Marienberg, and fascinatingly connects numerous villages in the rural area.

The Annaberger Landring consists of two combinable loops. A northern ring and a southern ring, each about 30 kilometers long, combine to a total distance of over 60 kilometers, with the outer ring offering about 40 kilometers. This is continuously uniformly signposted and, depending on weather, permanently rideable. It is characterized by stabilized gravel paths, sections on asphalt and pavement, as well as manageable forest and meadow paths. District and local connecting roads must occasionally be crossed. Only in the area "Zigeunerfelsen" between the former guesthouse "Berghof" (located on the road from Jöhstadt to Bärenstein) and the Conduppelbachweg towards the Königswalde district Brettmühle is there a very steep, technically demanding section, intersected by numerous longitudinal and crosswise roots.

Entry to the route is flexibly possible at many points. Recommended entries include hiking parking lots in Streckewalde, Boden, Steinbach, Jöhstadt, Königswalde, Mildenau, Geyersdorf, and Thermalbad Wiesenbad. Among other things, the Annaberger Landring winds idyllically as the Preßnitztalweg on a disused railway track parallel to the course of the Pressnitz river and can be easily managed here by everyone, especially parents with children in bike trailers.

The route intersects or tangents hiking trails such as the European long-distance trail E3 and the renowned Zschopau valley cycle path. The proximity to pedestrian border crossings enables planned or spontaneous excursions into the Czech part of the Ore Mountains. Viewpoints and places to stop offer interesting variety and rest breaks.

The charming layout of the Annaberger Landring is characterized, in addition to flat sections along river courses, by moderate to partly steeper climbs and descents of the low mountain landscape.

Cyclists are repeatedly fascinated by breathtaking views and dreamlike perspectives of well-known, typical Ore Mountains villages such as Königswalde with the unmistakable forest strip structure. Even in winter with fresh snow and biting cold, it is a pleasure for every nature lover to discover sections of the Annaberger Landring. Welcome to the Annaberger Landring in a legendary low mountain landscape!
