The Erzgebirge rocky valley of the Zschopau is framed between Wolkenstein and the spa town Warmbad by particularly impressive rock formations. The stone, rising almost to the CLOUDS, seems to be grown together with the walls of the castle complex. Romantic gneiss cliffs also line the well-developed path in the Wolkenstein Switzerland. Climbers find routes of varying difficulty here. Short steep ascents and descents alternate with leisurely sections, often with views of the tracks and trains of the Erzgebirgsbahn. Viewing platforms, the Warmbad Kurpark with a drinking pavilion, the Silber-Therme Warmbad, and the historic town center of Wolkenstein invite you to rest.
