Schloss Prossen

Prossen Castle is a centuries-old noble seat in the Elbe valley near Bad Schandau.
In 2019, the restoration of the baroque refuge and the conversion into a stylish holiday residence were completed. The house offers ten individually designed comfort apartments or suites for 2 to 6 people each. All apartments have fully equipped kitchens. Our breakfast baskets ensure a relaxed start to the day.
Two authentically restored halls are available for shared use. In the off-season, we are happy to rent out our house completely for celebrations, conferences, or events.
You can find relaxation in the idyllic castle garden or in the picturesque pavilion with a view of the Elbe and the impressive Lilienstein. Or you can unwind in our in-house sauna landscape in the historical castle vault.
The quiet yet central location of the former manor in the unique natural landscape of the Saxon Switzerland allows for both a relaxed and an active holiday experience: hiking, cycling, horseback riding, paddling, climbing, sightseeing, and culinary highlights can all be found in the immediate vicinity.
