Operetta "Im Weißen Rössl" on the Kriebstein lake stage

W skrócie

The lake stage at the Kriebstein dam has developed into a tourist highlight in recent years - nothing fits better here than the "Weiße Rössl", in which tourism is both celebrated and lovingly mocked: Cocky Berliners and an aspiring lawyer, a poor scholar and his daughter, the beautiful Sigismund and finally even the Emperor - they all come together in the famous inn run by the resolute Rössl landlady. And as if there wasn't already enough to do in the high season, the love affairs not only of the guests, but also of the landlady and her staff cause additional excitement.
Ralph Benatzky's "Singspiel" skilfully balances operetta, musical, comedy and revue. In addition to Benatzky himself, several other composers, including Robert Stolz, contributed their best musical ideas. Hardly any other work combines emotion and irony in such a rousing way - so happiness is just as much on the doorstep for visitors to the Kriebstein Dam as it is for tourists at Lake Wolfgangsee.
Intendant Sergio Raonic Lukovic has restaged the "Weiße Rössl" with set design by Tilo Staudte; Nina Reichmann designed the costumes and Nicole Eckenigk choreographed. Bennet Eicke is the musical director of the large ensemble of singers, actors, choir and dancers, accompanied live by the Mittelsächsische Philharmonie. More than 30 performances are on the programme until 31 August 2024.
