In the Wasserpalais, around 50 international projects from applied art, science and research show that plants can be not only a resource and a pet, but also close allies. In the Neues Palais, on the other hand, the focus is on the historical tradition of botanical research at Pillnitz Palace. Already the Saxon kings Friedrich August I and Friedrich August II were seized by plant fever and elevated the garden there to a botanical collection. The extensive palace park with its diverse flora, the English Pavilion as the princely study cabinet or the 250-year-old camellia offers the opportunity to experience plant fever at an authentic location.
The presentation was conceived by d-o-t-s, the curators Laura Drouet and Olivier Lacrouts, and produced by the Belgian Centre d'innovation et de design (CID). After its stops in Grand Hornu (BEL) and Zurich (CH), it will now be shown in Germany for the first time.
