Christmas in the country castle "Heavenly smoke - Christmas from Thuringia and the Ore Mountains"
When fine curls of smoke float upwards, it is wonderfully good for the soul. There is something calming about it; time stands still, a pause from the rush of life. And those heavenly scents! On the one hand, it is the incense, one of the gifts of the three holy kings to the Christ child, which forever links this scent with Christmas. Then perhaps the fragrant smoke comes from an Erzgebirge smoking man or house.
At the Christmas exhibition in the Zuschendorf country castle, smoking men from almost
all man-making families from the end of the 19th century to the middle of the 20th century will be on display.
In addition, both castle floors will feature everything that makes Christmas in
Saxony so special: the old Erzgebirge men, pyramids and toys,
a large fairground, plus crackling fires in the fireplace and mulled wine in the
medieval castle vaults.
