Difficult road cycling route. Very good fitness required.
On the way through Vogtland, you pass through the cities of Bad Köstritz, Gera, Weida, Greiz, Elsterberg, Plauen, Oelsnitz, Adorf, Bad Brambach.
Usually, this route is designed as an ascent from Bad Köstritz to Bad Brambach. However, it can also be ridden as a descent.

From the starting point Bad Köstritz, the northernmost tip of the Vogtland destination, take the B7 towards Gera. Continue straight on via Siemensstraße and Berliner Straße, then turn right onto Theaterstraße. At the theater, turn right onto Gebrüder-Häußler Straße, which continues into Am Sommerbad and B2. Along the Weiße Elster, first follow the B92 towards Weida and Greiz. At the roundabout in Greiz, turn right towards Elsterberg and continue on the B92 through the Schöpsdrehe roundabout just before Plauen into Plauen. In Plauen, stay on the B92. First straight ahead to the train station, then over the Elster bridge to Dittrichplatz, where you briefly turn left-right and follow the B92 towards A72 and Oelsnitz. From the Plauen South motorway junction, follow the B92 signs via Oelsnitz, Adorf, and past the Bad Elster turnoff to Bad Brambach. Anyone wanting to continue on the B92 for another 6 kilometers will have completely crossed the Vogtland destination from north to south.
The road cycling route has been tested with road cyclists. However, personal performance must absolutely be considered and self-critically assessed by the cyclist.
Please pay attention to your safety as you are on public roads!

Those with a rather flatter fitness at the end should start the route from Bad Brambach.
Bad Köstritz can be reached via the A4 exit Gera Zentrum and the B7.
Bad Brambach can be reached via the A72 exit Plauen/Oelsnitz and the B92.
Public parking spaces are available at both Bad Köstritz and Bad Brambach train stations.
