On the basalt nature trail to the summit of the Scheibenberg

This time you start from the parking lot of the uphill drive, walk up the mountain road and soon come to the square on the left in front of the "Orgelpfeifen". There you will see the mighty basalt columns of the Scheibenberg. On the right-hand side is the ski jumping facility, where children train all year round. From there, take the basalt nature trail and hike to the Ottomar-Zahm-Steig. This trail zigzags up very steeply until you reach the platform of the Scheibenberg. On the mountain, you can climb the tower, but also use the upper circular trail to enjoy the beautiful views of the Ore Mountains. The descent is via many stairs until you reach the parking lot again.
