200th anniversary of the premiere of Beethoven's 9th Symphony
Exactly 200 years ago, the premiere of Ludwig van Beethoven's 9th Symphony took place in Vienna. On the occasion of this anniversary, one of the composer's most famous works can also be heard in the Gewandhaus zu Leipzig this year, of course with the Gewandhaus Orchestra. The two-day visit to Leipzig is rounded off by a dinner at the historic restaurant Barthels Hof.
